Privacy Policy

Data we collect

• Account details: your name, work email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and, if you choose Sign in with Apple, an identifier Apple gives us.
• Employment details from your employer: your company, job title, and the dates you are eligible for the benefit.
• Benefit activity: your plan, gym check-ins (gym, date and time), and class bookings, cancellations and attendance.
• Location, only at check-in: some gyms require you to be on site. When you check in at one of them, the app sends your current location once so we can confirm you are there. We check the distance and then discard it; we do not store your location or track it in the background. The app can also use your location on your device to sort gyms by distance; that never leaves your device.
• Emails we send you: such as sign-up codes and password resets, and whether they were delivered.
• Website enquiries: if you use the contact form on gowell.ky, your name, work email, company, optional team size and message. The enquiry is emailed to our team mailbox, team@gowell.ky, so we can reply; it is not stored in the platform and does not create an account. Please do not include health details in the form.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers in the app, and we do not sell your personal data.

How we use it

• To create your account and confirm you are eligible through your employer.
• To let you check in at partner gyms and book classes under your plan.
• To bill your employer and pay partner gyms for the visits and classes you use.
• To send you service messages, such as sign-up codes, password resets and class reminders.
• To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and meet our legal obligations.

Who can see it

• Your employer: your company’s GoWell administrators can see your account status, plan, and benefit usage, such as your check-ins and class bookings.
• Partner gyms: a gym sees your name and your check-ins and bookings at that gym, so it can welcome you and be paid for your visit.
• Service providers: companies that host our servers and deliver our emails process data for us under contract and only on our instructions.
• Authorities: when the law requires it.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app reminds you about upcoming classes. Reminders are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings.

Our website

Our website and web app load the REM typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives your IP address and standard request details; Google’s privacy policy applies to that request. The landing page is served with our own images and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Links to source publications and partner sites lead to services with their own privacy practices.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove or replace your name, email, job title and password. We keep past visits and bookings without your name or email, because gyms are paid for them, and we keep invoices and payout statements for as long as financial record-keeping law requires.

Your rights

Under the Cayman Islands Data Protection Act you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, object to how we use it, or ask us to delete it. You can delete your account yourself in the app; see how to delete your account. For any other request, email support@gowell.ky. You can also complain to the Office of the Ombudsman in the Cayman Islands.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. On your phone, your sign-in session is stored encrypted, and we store passwords only as secure hashes.

Children

GoWell is a benefit for employees and is not intended for anyone under 18.
